Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is the lead Partner on the local delivery of the Social Investment Fund, which is funded through the Northern Ireland Executive’s Office. Over £2 million of funding has been approved to provide 3G pitches in Downpatrick, Ballyhornan and Kilcooley and redevelop Castlewellan Community Centre into a modern and accessible venue for the community. The completion date for these projects was June 2018.
