The Council has powers to investigate complaints about abandoned and nuisance vehicles.
To report a vehicle that you believe may be abandoned, contact Environmental Health on 0330 137 4024. Please provide us with as much information as possible about the vehicle, including:
- make and model (for example Ford Focus)
- colour
- Registration Number
- condition
- exact location
- approximate length of time it has been there.
- Photographs of the vehicle (where available)
- Your contact details (in case further information is required)
Please note: The Council can only investigate vehicles where there is reasonable evidence that they may have been abandoned. When assessing a report, a number of factors will be considered, including the vehicle's condition, location and how long it has been there. No single factor, such as a vehicle being untaxed, having no MOT, being in poor condition or remaining in the same location for an extended period, is sufficient on its own to determine that a vehicle is abandoned.
